Hello, I am currently working as a 6 month intern for Intuit and I have a full time offer from both Google (India) and Intuit (India) for Software Engineer 1 positions (Both off campus). I am confused as to which offer should I choose. Both offer almost similar compensation and have similar benefits (atleast that's what I have heard) My main concerns are 1. I worked as a summer intern (2 month) also for Intuit, and they changed my team during my 6 month internship, so I am pretty sure it will get changed again during full time. Due to this, there is no benefit of joining Intuit just because I did a 6 month internship and have experience working there. 2. The brand value of google is far better than Intuit in general Work location or travelling, or joining dates, none are problematic for me in either of the companies. Considering long term goals I am inclined towards google, considering its brand value. But Intuit doesn't do much layoffs and might be a safer option. Can anyone help here, what would you do in this situation?? #software #swe #engineering
You're a fresh grad, a big name in your CV worth a lot more in the long term. Go for Google
This is a nice point
Mass offshoring continues 🇮🇳
Sounds like you have already made decision to join Google but need just one more approval from someone else🤨 Go for Google
> But Intuit doesn't do much layoffs... Nope, that might not be the entire story. They have implemented this DNME thing where a certain percentage of people in your team will get this rating regardless of performance. Granted that this rating doesn't directly mean PIP, but there is a good chance that it might lead to PIP in case the company wants to churn some fat anytime. Search up on Blind for more details.. What I am coming at is your chances of being layed off aren't significantly different in either of those companies.
Definitely Google
This is a joke right? It's like asking Google vs McDonalds Google >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Amazon>> Intuit
If you need to ask this question, join Intuit
Don’t know what Intuit India is like but Intuit USA is not much safer than Google USA.
