Interesting policy. Will lead to higher vaccinations. Quinnipiac University issued the new regulations to students via email explaining it will apply a weekly fee of up to $2,275 per semester for unvaccinated students, mandatory weekly COVID-19 tests and loss of access to campus network and WiFi. The email detailing these penalties was sent to roughly 600 students who had not submitted any proof of vaccination. “Our goal is to protect the health of our entire university community,” the email read. “In order to accomplish this we must know if you have been vaccinated.” https://thehill.com/changing-america/well-being/prevention-cures/568427-us-university-announces-it-will-fine-and-cut
Why not let them do online learning?
Wow, shut off internet? What the heck? Regardless of my personal opinions on vaccinations, FORCED vaccination is a terrible road to go down. This school should suffer consequences.
How is it forced? Is someone going to come and shove a needle in their arm? Next you’re going to say colleges have “forced homework” and “forced exams” since if you don’t do it you will be placed on academic leave and kicked out
Making consequences for not complying with a rule so strict that they uproot ones entire life plan is effectively forcing. It’s the same as cutting someone’s hours at work without firing them. Can be sued for constructive dismissal, I expect the students will likely also have a case here.
This type of sh!t will start a civil war
No it won’t since most people are smart
Cut internet because someone won’t inject experimental drug? Lefts were afraid Trump would press the red button, little did they know they themselves would do it!
Nope, it’s fully approved, it’s been administered hundreds of millions of times. This is just plain misinformation.
Hundreds of millions of administrations means nothing. Hundreds of millions of homes have asbestos Hundreds of millions of homes have lead paint Hundreds of millions of people smoked cigarettes A drug barely out in the public for a year without long term studied or data is not misinformation
Used to have a word for this sort of thing…can’t quite remember…I think it starts with an F…can’t quite put my finger on it…
takes some balls to do something like this.
