I received an offer from Upgrade for the Senior Software Engineer position. 220 base (no bonus) + 40K options. As per the recruiter, the current stock price is 2$. Any Upgrade folks here who can comment on when Upgrade is looking to IPO? Also is there any room for negotiation?
Seems like a downgrade
They provide tender offers from time to time, last was ~$4 USD a month back, likely IPO will be 2+ years timeframe, profitable and decent revenue projected for 2022, great WLB (unlimited PTO, lots of tech team take 25+ PTO not including fed holidays) The overall quality of customers (credit profile, deliquentcy, etc.) that apply for Upgrade products is far better than SoFi.
Thank you. How good are annual refreshers?
In a recent all hands it was mentioned that an IPO is likley 2-3 out at least. They very much don't want to rush into an IPO. I received a similar offer to you a few months ago. Tried to negotiate a bit but they didn't budge. Your milage may vary though
