I used Chase’s ACH routing number instead of the wire transfer routing number while sending fund via wire transfer from my Morgan stanley account to my Chase checking account. I called Chase customer care but the answer was not very convincing. I am wondering if anyone else made the same mistake and if it’s going to be a problem or not. Tc:420k #personalfinance
I did this and did not have any problem. The gsu sale proceeding came in as expected. The chase customer care team was not at all helpful. I did wire transfer though
Good to know. Thanks
You weren't sending money to someone else right! At worst, the transfer will fail and you can do it correctly next time. What's the big deal?
Yes, most likely the transfer will fail.
I was told ach is same as wire. Just slower but cheaper fees. I alway just leaned on that fact if the money didn’t get to where it’s needed, I’m gonna blame the bank and ask for my money back.
I thought the same but just learned for Chase it’s different.
The function call may be the same but the parameters are different. I dont think they would be interchangeable.
You money has been received in bank of Nigeria. I’m the chief custodian, please send 0.250 BTC for government fees to release your funds
Did this earlier. Basically it bounced back/declined because I used the wrong routing number and I just retired again using the correct routing number. Its not going to be an issue especially if you entered the routing number to the same bank but just wrong routing number
Relax, I used both options before and both worked. Just wait the funds will be there before Thursday.

Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
ACH should work for a transfer of funds, without the need for a wire transfer.
ACH was not supported in stockplanconnect. Not sure why.
