Feeling pretty smart right about now. Applied for Amazon interviews and got a great offer. Used that to negotiate for a higher comp at Google. Sure this was a roundabout way to get what I wanted, but hey, the extra $$$ justifies the means. (PS: in reality, I was ready to make switch to AMZN. Didn't think this would even work but it did;) If you’re actually trying to get into AMZN though, I now have a pretty comprehensive resource. Shoot a dm if you’re interested and I'll put you on your way.

"Applied for Amazon interviews". You sounds like an intern who didn't get the return offer from Google and never interviewed at another company.
Why would I want to work at Amazon?
Look at your stock dude
My initial grant was at $150 I’m chilling, good time to join at lower price actually
Using counter offers to get a higher pay is a bad strategy in general. Your team will know that you are looking to move, and will lose trust in you. You will be the first person your manager will look to replace.
The team shouldn't find out if OP doesnt tell them. Also, bas long as OP is actually valuable, manager shouldn't want to replace him.
Totally, they are about to start asking you to document everything
Bro you’re talking about going to Amazon…. Also, you’re talking about TC without posting it….
Another Product Alliance shill?
Dmed you
Was it Product alliance marketing or candid response?
It’s a Product Alliance response. Why would some company go down this level to do it!!?
Are you willing to do referral to Google?
