Hi everyone, I went through 5 interview for 2 roles and both the teams wanted me, I liked the team too, had talked to a lot of team members about their experience and was ready to join it. But that's not a part of my bad experience. The HR management was the worst. HR was extremely disorganized, didn't have any answers ever and was never reachable. I was asked to give my salary details, a current visa employee to endorse me and my credit report for crying out loud. But she stoped responding after it. It took her 1.5 months after my constant probing to respond with " we are looking at the numbers and the 1st proposal was not approved" . What puzzled me was, I gave HR my salary details and expectations well before the interview to which she said only if the team is willing to accept it, we will go for interviews. Apparently now it's not that way. I rejected couple of calls because I was all set to join this company. Since I liked this team I reduced my expectations a bit too and she said that she can work with that. After 15 days, here we are me poking her again only to get an answer that they can't even match my current salary and its not gona work either. Is it just me or this is mental!!! Worst experience ever. #singapore #singtel #productmanager #productmanagement #pm #product #productmanager #offer
Interviewed a few years back and saw that some folks still use CRT monitors... Walked out and never looked back
Hahaha
Sorry to hear that, OP. I had a good experience dealing with the HR. Based on what I see, it may not be suitable for people who prefer flat hierarchies and flexible approach in getting things done. A lot of processes and legacy way of doing things. If you prefer to have greater autonomy and fast environment, most often than not, you won't find them here.
I am sure some people could have good experiences, but my exp was not about hierarchy at all, Visa js pretty much same too in that fashion. Are you seriously saying that after asking all the details to give an offer, keeping a candidate on hook and, being not reachable for more than 2 months is ok? Or at the end of it informing that the current salary cannot be matched, not my expected, just my current one, even though I had informed my expectation and my current salary well before the interview process started is ok
Totally understand. You had invested time and energy for the interviews only to be told that they retracted because could not meet your salary expectation. I don't know if you were able to give feedback on your experience? From what I understand, the first interview should be with the recruiter and the second with HR Manager. I believe that the recruiter was the one who negotiate the salary?
Steer clear of SingTel my friend, terrible WLB, toxic people and culture.
Couldn't agree more
Quite similar to FANG and quite opposite of FANG. Very to difficult to get in .. once you are there , no work, lazing around and pushing paper like the HR. ๐
