Microsoft background check

I am currently working for Macys, well not directly. I work for Tata Consultancy Services and our client is Macys. In my application and resume I mentioned that I am working for Macys. I didn’t say contract or full time. I got an offer from Microsoft and signed the offer. Next step is the background check, my proof of employment for Macys is my macys email and id card only. My W2 form will come from TCS. Should I be worried about this or it doesn’t really matter. Also before starting the background check will they ask us to fill out the details or anything like that. Should I reach out to my recruiter and explain about this details? By the way, I signed the offer 2 days back, recruiter said I will receive details about next step within 24hrs of accepting the offer. But I haven’t received an email yet. How long does it take to go to the next steps. #hrissues #hiring #microsoft

They verify your employment with what you enter on the background check. Enter the actual company that employs you.

Yes, don't worry. Just mention TCS name in your background check form and you should be fine. Your recruiter will just get an email that your background check passed. They don't look into details

I would mention TCS. BG check form should be accurate
