Itâs generally used by recruiters with low self esteem
Actually first round easy , second round: hard . Flipped the script. My brain was seriously challenged that time to visualize recursion . Now I am pretty confident ( prolly blessing in disguise)
Interviewer was probably jacking off under the table while watching you struggle.

Grow some brain cells OP. Leetcode hard is easy for a lot of us in the industry.
Itâs very different based on context. You might, for example, be a 25 year old living with your parents, having no real social life and responsibilities, where youâve done 1k leetcode exercises. You might also be a sr./staff engineer leading 5-50 engineers, be married with 2 kids, helping take care of your elderly parents, and having amazing work experience, system design knowledge, etc. One might say one of them doesnât need to grind leetcode hards for getting a good job. There have been dozens of engineers that I interviewed and fluently solved the leetcode question (easy/medium) without knowing any of the basics/foundations (eg they just solved the problem using a hash map but have no idea how to explain how a hash map works).
I am sorry but what you mentioned is a sign of low IQ. Let me explain. You say that there are only two types of people. There are other categories as well. For example there are high IQ sr. Staff engineers who donât need to grind 1k leetcode questions to be able to solve LC hard. In fact in general I have seen that folks who need to grind LC are no good. The ones who can solve such questions intuitively are really the smart ones.
May be a bad interviewer or someone trying to show off. Common in smaller companies. When I interviewed, it was easy questions.
Hi, was there any system design in the phone screen? Would appreciate any pointers on prep and what to expect. Thanks in advance!
Op, mind if I dm you about interview experience? Thanks in advance!
Never heard of em.
Yeah kinda start up.
