Do you think VTI and VOO are the safest "buy the dip"?
If you are long term holder, given the market scenario, do you think buying VTI and siblings is a good option? Tc: 278 but intel rsu :((

Wait until the market drops another 10-15% unless you are dollar cost averaging in. Index funds are a good investment.
Impossible to time the market so DCA in, but generally yes index funds are safe. Always keep in mind, with runaway USD inflation cash has its own exposure.
VT even more stable

Why VTSAX over VTI
It’s the same thing. One is a mutual fund other is ETF. ETF does have cheaper expense ratio lately.

No one knows the exact $$ bottom. But it’s not happening until Fed pivots. It’s safe to wait in cash until then. Mkt isn’t going to rocket back to new ATH, there will be plenty of time to buy
Why would you wait until the market recovers to invest? You can’t time the market. Buy low, sell high.
@Microsoft you’re speaking out of both sides of ur mouth. If ur position is that mkt cannot be timed then u also don’t know whether current low is “the” low, and therefore ur not really buying low to sell high later. Make up ur mind! My position is that mkt can be and must be timed to make money. It will bottom when fed dovish pivot is getting priced in. That can be at 3600 3500 or even 3200..
