Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
I finished interviews for Rubrik G6. The team is backup and data-protection team (for DB2). Based on my discussion with hiring manager work seems interesting. And their interviews and interviewers were really good. Does anyone have any idea about the team? And is Rubrik a good company to join right now? Things I care about: * Good challenges so that I can grow my skills * Career Growth * Compensation * WLB Thanks YOE: 2.5 TC: 55 (40 + 15) #tech #amazon #google #meta #rubrik #uber
If you looking for WLB, then forgot joining Rubrik. Our culture is worst than Amazon. Pip is also introduced in the last 2 years. Get ready to work in two time zones and on weekends. Read Glassdoor and other Rubrik posts on WLB. I have been here for the last 4 1/2 years with founding engineers who have since quit working on direct product related projects and looking to leave soon after the culture went into dumps. Also don’t fall for Rubrik’s stock grant. Recruiters will low ball you or quote a very high stock prices
Didn't know they had this this shitty WLB. At Amazon, I never worked on weekends, and almost always had a great WLB. Money wise, I just read few posts, it seems like they won't go a lot higher on my base. And stocks are anyways paper money unless they IPO soon.
Do you think if I decline their offer, they'll blacklist me or something? Considering I spent so much time interviewing with them.
As you mentioned that you have decent WLB in amazon, please share the org/team name maybe
I've had pretty chill WLB in all the teams I worked with. My current org is in Devices (OS and Cloud Services). Previous orgs were: Product Security (Retail), Amazon Warehouse (Retail).
That being said, you can't know much about WLB with just the org, these are huge, ultimately it'll depend on your direct manager. And quite a bit of it on you (how do you maintain boundaries, how hard is it for you to figure out things, etc).
Can you share your interview experience ?
Offered tc?
Waiting on the numbers. But I told them I would expect them to match my comp in cash, don't think they'll do that.
How was the interview feedback in rounds? Do they need SH in all of them?
