Does Workday let new hire be remote? I know they want teams to be back in office (hybrid). Is it possible to negotiate position to be wfh? Can I negotiate offer to be a remote hire? Good idea or stupid? #remote #hiring #negotiateoffer Tc : 150k Yoe : 10
Curious if workday interview process is currently fully remote?
I'm fully remote but I've been here 8 years :|
Depends on location. If you're near the Pleasonton HQ, then you'll have a hybrid and it's non-negotiable. If you're based around a hub, it depends on your specific team. I recently got an offer and asked about this a lot. Atlanta is their biggest office outside of HQ and for my team, we can be 100% remote.
Im aware of someone that joined recently and is remote. They're a principal level. On the flip side I've heard of people that have requested remote but been rejected. Seems to depend on your level, how much they value you, the org, etc.

How bad is it in meta?
It’s not even a negotiable item. You either move or not take the offer 🤣 They just made RTO mandatory starting October SOME business related roles seem to have the possibility for remote but I’ve maybe seen a couple engineers labeled as fully remote and they’ve been there for like 10 yrs
I was offered a principal engineer role and negotiated full-time WFH 2 months ago. I ultimately turned it down, but it’s clearly something that can be negotiated depending on team and how much they want you.
@genesys do you mind sharing the offer?
