I see that MTS3(P3) from VMware kind of overlaps with ICB 3 at Broadcom. The base salary at VMware for a MTS3 is way higher than ICB3, infact higher than ICB4 in Bay Area. Any thoughts on folks getting lesser base salary due to levels matching ?#hardware #semiconductor #offer #level #seniority
Yes les base more rsu
Rsu heavy org. Ask more rsu..
I thought deal was to give VMware same base salary, is that changed?? In any case, just do not expect any raise for next 2 to 3 years, you will get bonus and rsus though.
They usually will not cut base from current levels. Same as LSI acquisition which had very high base
They will not cut base for at least the first year. It's in the sec filing
50 %tile base, 95%tile rsu
If he/she survives the layoff, I guess that the base will be kept the same and the level would be probably L3 you mentioned. In future, over the time, the rsu and the bonus will be matched to the level, so his/her TC may come closer to the L3 peers at broadcom over the time. In short term, the TC would be the same as in VMware. That's how you keep the talent.
Your base will be at least the same for at least the first year. Bonus and commissions (if you have them) will be at least comparable. This is all stated in the SEC filing.
I’ve heard that Broadcom offers generous RSU grants, that will probably make up for if not help exceed your current TC even if base is less
