VMware Wellness Benefit
I'm joining VMware next week and heard about the $1k wellness benefit that renews by calendar year. Does anyone know if I'll be eligible from day 1? Like can I buy the $1k worth of exercise equipment on my first day of work and then submit the receipts for it? And then do I get another $1k Jan 1st? Thanks! Old TC: 100k New TC: 225k And yes I know a lot will say it's probably not a good time to join, but >2x TC seems worth it
Congrats. Nice TC jump and that's the right mindset. But if things go south, you should be mentally and financially prepared. Don't beat yourself up and you'll be good. Life is about taking calculated risks and this might open more doors for the future.
Thanks, that's good advice. I'm planning to wait on buying a house until they announce the layoffs or the acquisition is done for a few months

You will get the full 1k for this year. there is no prorating. However, for next year, it's per quarter 250. If your item is more than 250, you can submit the same receipt for next quarter till it complete the 1k.
So you're saying if I bought a treadmill for $1k, I would submit the receipt the first quarter to get $250 back? And then the next quarter I could submit the same treadmill receipt for another $250 back? Then same for q3 and q4?

As long as the transaction date is before Dec 30, 2022, you can avail this benefit to the full extent. Make sure to get a receipt and upload it soon.
Yes you can avail it but the purchase date should be between your joining date to 31st dec 2022.
LI prorates it…so, essentially you would get $0 if you joined in December
Yeah I was planning on buying the equipment next Monday, but I appreciate it! @LinkedIn do they have that info hidden somewhere or they flat out say it? I've looked at VMware's page on it and don't see that anywhere. Guess it can vary by company but just wondering the norm
