VP (Tech) Compensation at Goldman Sachs
Any idea what compensation I can expect for a VP (Engineering) position at Goldman Sachs? The position is in NYC. I do understand that VP positions are dime a dozen at banks so am looking at this purely as a money play. Thanks.

Total comp is a meaningless number, you really want to know the comp breakdown. I'm not sure why millenials talk about "total comp" so much suddenly.

Woah, some serious millennial hate boiling over here. Total comp is cash in the bank. Seems pretty useful to me. Don't devolve this into an argument over salary vs stock

without the comp breakdown you don't know what your % takehome well be. Not all comp is taxed equal
Expect $300 - $320 total comp for engineering positions. If you are on the algontrading devision (SigmaX) add 20% to this number
