ValueFlex UBS - Cash in lieu?

Hi everyone, Received an offer to join UBS in London. HR mentioned they offer a 16% "ValueFlex" package on top of base salary. Apparently if you don't use it to buy optional benefits (i.e. insurance etc), you can get it as cash in your monthly payslip. Anyone at UBS who can confirm? Having a lot of trouble to get in touch with them.. TC: £70k, 2YOE

If you don't use the all extra benefits will be on monthly salary payed monthly. Normally 10% from 16 goes in pension, doesn't remain that much even if you don't get all insurance. But yes it is possible...

One cannot opt out of the 10% pension, I'm guessing.. right?

Never heard of this in the US. Got hired about 7 months ago and this option wasn’t presented to me
