If I plan to make regular investments, is it better to buy vanguard ETFs or its mutual fund counterpart? E.g. VTI vs VTSAX? I like the convenience of mutual funds that don't have to make limit orders (just place an order and forget) but will this cost me more in the long term? Is there a spread in mutual funds or at the end of the day bids and asks are executed with the same price? Wonder how this price is calculated.
Mutual funds offer recurring investments while ETFs don’t on vanguard However RH offers recurring investments on ETFs so you could just do that
They’re the same spread, invest in the same stocks. Main difference is VTI shows you real time pricing when you buy it, and VTSAX does not.
