I heard from someone internal at Vanguard that there were some huge organizational changes that happened last night and people leaders made everyone aware today. Some people have to switch teams and have 90 days to do so. Can someone confirm this? I am supposed to start working in less than 2 weeks and am now very worried about my offer getting pulled. Is my offer safe? New TC: 140k #vanguard #tech #newjob #layoff #layoffs
Haven’t heard a single word about this
Maybe they're talking about the new location in the North Carolina region?? https://www.charlottestories.com/vanguard-moving-to-massive-new-91-acre-office-development-in-university-city/
OP was talking about CDAO for PI. There were some “layoffs” mentioned in the Blind Vanguard feed. The move to the new campus in Charlotte will actually open up jobs since a lot of people will leave rather than make an hour commute into the office.
OP, what organization / division?
CDAO PI
Sorry, I meant for the job offer.
They wouldn’t do that. Especially if you aren’t being hired into personal investor. It only affects that line of business. When such a change occurs, HR is involved, and they would not let such offers go through as recruiting is aligned with HR and large scale changes like this
What if I am being hired into personal investor tech?
You will be fine in PiTech. For now at least
What I failed to mention is, I think your offer is safe.
So there were layoffs? I’ve heard that vanguard has never had them
What I know was that this would only impact PI CDAO (data related roles in person investor space). If you are a software engineer, there shouldn't be any impact.

I should specify that the person who told me is a data engineer, not a software engineer. So I’m not sure if that’s different at vanguard. Regardless, I’m not sure if I should be worried
