It’s unfair to the people who are hired into these roles, who need to fight with their colleagues to find projects, while the managers are wasting company money by hiring them in the first place, but are never held accountable.
Amazonians don't do fake work 🙄
Do VCs do real work? Or gamble with a tagline? Luck, via family money or company lottery, puts them in the positions (often), and then people treat them with respect for that money, and they start to take themselves seriously. Not all VCs obv, but some I’ve worked with at major firms
And these companies will oblige. They might follow twitter, I don’t think executives care of their products are low quality in the short term…..
