I have interviewed with Verizon Connect twice in the past two years and each time it is absolutely the worst experience ever. I should’ve taken it as a red flag when even the recruiter told me she was leaving the company and I would get another recruiter along the way. The first time I interviewed I made it to the second face to face interview (pre-covid). The manager literally spent the entire interview yelling at me and telling me how horrible of a job it is and pleading for me not to work there basically. He spent almost an hour seriously yelling and talking about how the goals are extremely hard to hit (but I’m skilled so none of it phased me) and I told him I would be fine. Every time I told him that it works for me he would reply with “no it doesn’t, I’m telling you you don’t want this”… funny part is I think it wasn’t a test and he was actually being serious, I genuinely felt he didn’t want me there as an individual and it came off offensive and felt semi racist. It was like he combated everything I said and constantly told me what I couldn’t do and that I was incapable of achieving basically and did not want it. It was very offensive, he didn’t know me from a can of paint. They ghosted me after that and I never heard back…I sent follow up emails with no reply back. Then came the second time around two years later, I’m now over qualified but whatever. I made it to the second round again and had a more pleasant interview with a different guy. Over an hour long, good conversation. But heard nothing back and it’s been about a week. Ghosted again. The recruiter I was dealing with left the company and I have not heard from anyone lol. In the meantime I’ve accepted another job offer elsewhere. #ae #enterprise #sales #verizon #verizonconnect #BDR
