Any insight into life at Verizon - specifically the Verizon UX team? I’ve heard mixed reviews and have a interview with them coming up. I’m also interested in WLB. Does that exist at VZ or is there a lot of weekends and early mornings/late nights required? Is there a culture at all? It’s a role on the B2B team if that helps. I’m not positive what the range is for this level but they didn’t balk at my request of $185k base and it came with a 20% annual bonus. This was for a Lead UX position. I had an offer a year ago from VZ for a Sr. Designer position and the top of their comp was $150k plus 12% bonus for that tier. I turned it down because the comp wasn’t that much more then what I was making or projected to make after my review annual review a few weeks later. Hope that helps. Also I never heard back after my recent interview so assuming I was passed on which is ok. I didn’t get a good feeling from the VP I met anyway so I’m fine with that. It also looks like a lot of folks in UX have left recently so unsure it’s the best culture or environment.
I had my 2nd round last week and I was told Verizon implemented hiring freeze recently and they got approval from higher management for the role that I’m interviewed for so even I’m not sure they’re going to offer me anything but let’s wait and see Also I was told about the same range when I had initially discussion with hr 185-190 base + 20% bonus and she told me some RSU as well but I don’t remember exactly how much it’s not a lot 10-15K max
I got another offer and let Verizon know I’m off the market. No idea if they’re still interviewing or put the position on hold. Either way they are too slow with making decisions. Good luck!
I got another offer too but I was considering Verizon is the first option. Did they reach out to you and confirmed the offer ? Or you sent an email saying you’re off market ?
Just emailed them and said I was off market to spare myself the rejection haha. I saw they have reposted the job listing and two of the people I interviewed with were looking for additional candidates on LinkedIn so I assumed I didn’t get it anyway. I’m ok with that. Like I said, I didn’t get a great vibe from the team and being told normal working hours were 7 or 8am to 6 or 7pm to overlap with India and west coast employees didn’t sit well with me.
I interviewed with them recently as well waiting for feedback. may I know the comp structure ? base + bonus + RSU ?
