I use vim for my current job and love it. I'm making a switch to Google where I'll be coding in java. Is vim supported well for Java development at Google? Really not trying to use a full ide.
There are a bunch of vim plugins, but seriously, just use IntelliJ IDEA. It will save you so much time, and with IdeaVIM, you can still use the key bindings you're used to.
This is how I've been coding for the last 6 years.
Whatever vimrc you have, you cannot compete with IdeaVIM. It’s best of both worlds. Just try it once.
Ahh 1 of those, who thinks using just the editor is so cool and IDE is for amateurs.
