Former NBA employee woke up and chose violence on the league's Facebook page this morning. #workmeme #workmemes #nba

Social media manager who doesn’t know how to log out of an account or tell the difference between “it’s” and “its”
they’re definitely gonna fire him now then
He apparently already left? The risk to them now is getting sued.
I'm not supporting the inhumane treatment, but the pay isn't bad. $72K (pre-taxes) for social media handling isn't bad at all! Why do they portray it as if they're being worked for $10/hour.
No insurance until 90 days seems ludicrous, but maybe I’m just used to SWE benefits. Not sure if this is normal outside tech.
It is pretty much the norm outside of tech, and I think I’ve had SWE jobs in the past with similar policy
I wonder what a 14 hour "shift" looks like for a Professional Facebook Poster. Are they on call? Anyway I bet there are tons of people willing to post on Facebook for 70k per year
It's basically intense customer service where you're routing and responding to queries, and trying to get answers for multiple people, while hoping they don't get upset and take screenshots. For an account like that I'd say it's multiple queries per hour. The proactive posting you plan in advance and schedule.
It was probably once or twice during the NBA draft. The NBA doesn't have customer service.
🦸🏼♂️
Who posts their pay after taxes? And yeah right on those 14 hour days. Probably during the NBA draft, but there's no way that dude pulled those shifts otherwise. Funniest part is that dude followed up offering his social media services company for $100 all in. 🤣
Well, within the range of "struggling to survive off my salary" after-taxes makes sense. It's not about feeding your ego, like tech rants here, it's about "that's not enough to live off it"...
$50k after taxes is just below the median pre-tax salary in all of NYC. That's assuming he isn't being even more dishonest and using post-tax to mean the same as post-tax and contributions. Dude is probably 23. It's okay, I was an idiot, too, at 23. But underpaid, he's not.
It’s a free market, no sympathy if you still chose to do it☮️
So much money to post memes on social media. They were lucky to have that gig
Why are we using the term "violence" here? Why is everyone so soft these days?
It cheapens victims of actual physical violence to say a paid employees work in social media is “violent,” agree.
It’s a meme lol, how old are you both?
