Visa expiring without i140 what to do
My Visa is expiring soon. With outside the country dates added I could boost it to mid May. My perm has been filed end of October. No response yet about perm from legal team. I still have to file i140 and then visa extension. What are my options here? It is possible for me to go to h4 ead but that would require me to have a gap in my employment since ead takes some time to get sanctioned. Also is it possible to switch back from h4 to h1b if I have days left on h1?#h1b #perm
You can switch back within 6 years of transferring out of H1. Yeah you can’t work immediately although it’s better than being out of status . You can file extension along with i140 application as well I believe . You should consult a lawyer and not ask blinders 🧐 . It would help also if you are not a Liverpool fan, everyone hates them !!
That is a separate long story, basically bad management, timing and lame legal team combination.
When did they start the whole process? Heard Amazon starts it way early to avoid these things!
Not all Amazon's fault we were under a tight deadline when I switched jobs to join Amazon. But a lame legal team delayed the process.
You can get a 1 year extension if perm gets approved
Is this before or after filing the i140? Can I try to renew my Visa based on perm?
Does amazon pay you well enough to go to an immigration lawyer and spend few hundred $ for consultation
You can get 3 years of perm is approved and i140 is filed . Also you will get your perm by March 15 don’t worry my friend got who was in sept 20 priority date
