Eb2/3 and H1B is not the same visa. They are separate visas. When you have applied for eb2 and waiting, you're still on H1B - when you receive an eb2 visa, you will get a green card because of it.

I mean they're asking questions about immigration - and I'm an immigrant. So i think my curiosity is justified. But also, i don't need to justify a question.
