Visa status query
If my H1-B gets picked in March and my company lays me off in April (As there’s layoffs happening right now in my company) What would be the status on H1-B processing? Will it be revoked? TC: 130k

It might get revoked , if the company revokes the H1 petition. Even if USCIS issues a RFE for some reason , then also the processing will get cancelled . But there could a very low chance you can get laid off ( if your H1 is in process )… still it’s a tough call. Are you on OPT now ?

Here is where it gets tricky. If the lawyer is good I have seen such cases getting an h1b later. All depends on the lawyer

Your h1b doesn't go into effect until October
True if you apply for Change of Status. For consular processing, visa status changes on the day you enter the US after your H1b is stamped.
