Brother beaten severely as a kid. Doesn’t speak to dad at all now.
Hey folks Help your fellow here, got an engineering manager offer in vmware, how does it look like. Is there a room for negotiation here.#vmware #vmwaresalary Title: Engineering Manager Level : M3 Base: 245k Bonus: 17% Stonks: 300k(4 Years) Joining Bonus: 10k TC: 361k Location: Bay Area (Palo Alto) Annual refresh : is there any annual refresh at vmware? Blind Tax: 290k, Manager (Grade 11) Cisco .
Good one!
From what I see online, Stonks could be better. Congrats on your flight!! Cheers...
We should not hire more Cisco people.
vmware is no different than cisco these days.
That’s because there are too many Cisco people flooding in. One after another. Same with oracle people.
Congrats. But they say VMware is the new Cisco.
I don’t know what level is M3. But $300k equity grant for a position that has $245k base is rather low by current standards. I am just assuming that M3 is not a position that commands a $300k equity grant, and you got an extremely high cash component in your offer.
Shall I just say, it does not match my expectations upfront.
VMW is no more good to grow EM career as per new policy. DM me if you want more info.
Thnx buddy, DMed you
Can you please share the policy here? To the extent you don’t divulge anything company proprietary of course
Don’t come to VMware as an EM. You’re essentially down leveled with the new mapping. M3 now maps to senior MTS only (staff before). Lots of blowback on this policy.
The amount of stocks you are getting is crazy
Yoe?
Which state? Which BU
Added in the main post, it's for bay area
