WFH will give me a heart attack…

Just signed up for Apple Fitness + or whatever to get some exercise in that’s a bit more tailored to ski prep for the season. I fucking nearly died after the first HIT style 12 minutes sessions holy shit. Heart rate at 165, just getting fucking wrecked. I guess WFH, never walking to lunch, or another office location, never getting up from my chair, only going up to my bedroom and down isn’t enough exercise. Who knew. This sucks.

Thinking of getting a Peloton just to have a reason to do something … anyone else has one? Does it sit unused after 2 months? Do you still find value?

Why not join gym op

Amazon eff you OP Nov 29, 2021

Can’t. Very high risk household for respiratory illnesses. Can’t risk it. Quarantined for the foreseeable future. Was at a gym 2 years ago…

Just join F45, problem solved

Can’t do in person group exercise. I used to go to a gym but I can’t anymore. See above.

Google gsyahs Nov 29, 2021

Can't see anything above. Why can't you do in person group workout ?

Dude dont go hiit from day 1. Fitness is a lifestyle. Edge into it. 165 is normal during hiit.

Good advice though I wasn’t worried about the HR just how bad it felt!

Zscaler Qanon Shmn Nov 29, 2021

I’m experiencing the same. Too afraid to go to gym. Trying to figure out home gym solution

life hack: get a VR play beat saber/exercising games in general you will have way more fun and exercise well there’s also ring fit for nintendo switch if you have it and its great

Amazon eff you OP Nov 29, 2021

That’s not a bad idea. I feel like the exercise would be a bit too repetitive though

There are multiple games There are some that is like boxing, beat saber itself is the slashing blocks, there are dancing games if you enjoy, some that focus on squat techniques It does get repetitive at some point but i think that’s the same with working out in general

15k steps a day (on my Fitbit religiously since the beginning of WFH) keeps my health anxiety away.
