I’ve been contacted by Uber recruiters twice in the last month. Once I replied and never heard back; sent a follow up message and got an error message in response (I assume that means he left the company). The most recent time I got a reply, scheduled a phone call, and then got a cancellation message literally five minutes beforehand. Fine; stuff happens. We rescheduled for that same time the following day. The next day the time comes and...nothing. Later - much later, around 11pm - I get a note saying he was busy that day and wanting to reschedule for some other day. If that’s how you treat people you’re trying to get them to come join your team, how do you treat them once they’ve already signed on?
Depends on recruiters, but most of uber recruiters suck at their work
I had a great experience with Uber recruiting and continue to work with them to fill HC. guess it really depends on who you get, hmm
Agree, some of the recruiters are great
Seattle recruiting can't keep up these days. I'm sorry that you had a bad experience.
Appreciate that! It was disappointing because the team seems awesome at first glance.
Definitely don't judge us by the recruiters :)
The early stage recruiting is mostly done by contract sourcers at Uber and 90% of them are completely inept
The recruiter could be bad, or you could just not be a priority if other candidates look stronger.
Uber recruiting is shit. Fact
Once you've signed on, you never have to deal with the recruiters again unless you start interviewing new candidates.
Man, I had an onsite interview with Tesla last week and I got the cancelation while in the airport waiting for my flight to Fremont. The struggle is real. It’s really awful how the recruiters treat potential employees.
That’s hella shady
Dang. What a waste of time.
