So there's uproar because the cost of doing business is letting some mutinational corporation decide who lives and who dies? https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/30/technology/facebook-leaked-memo.html
Having a hard time believing Facebook employees are calling for the company to screen for whistleblowers. How would you even go about that? "Are you one to act on your morals?"
Sure, like letting the stupid media to twist words way out of context and stabbing the company that fed you in a critical time is such a moral thing to do. I am sick of these so-called headlines. The employees SHOULD be angered and rightfully so. Why let such an asshole leaker destroy the open environment of the company, where people can express their opinions without fear, to voice thoughts on important issues?
Let's make it simple, what context? Let's build our products anyway, terrorism is a human problem not a software one, so we don't care, we care about clicks?
Sounds like you worked at FB when the memo was posted. Did you comment on it too?
Why leak it ? The only way you can have a healthy debate is when you can trust employees
I agree, but you don't write shit like this even in an internal memo. If someone posted the comments that were glavanized by the memo I can understand, but they've chosen to delete stuff, so go figure
Scary and surprisingly lack of consciousness and self-awareness
Ya but are employees REALLY in an uproar? Or are a few in an uproar, and NYT just took it and ran?
Would you say the same thing about James Comey for leaking bad stuff about Trump? Of course not, because Trump sucks and deserves no benefit of doubt but this scumbag bozworth somehow deserves privacy though good main goal is to destroy privacy for billions.
Some guy legit wants to support terrorism, and doesn't care whether people live or die because profit... but the real problem guys, we gotta find this darned leaker. What stage of capitalism is it that you can endorse terrorism for profit and you're still called "a great leader"...?
I think you missed the point of the memo.
Nah, buddy. i got the point, he wanted to "start a discussion" but there's some shit you just don't say. Let him burn in the media explosion.
Wtf indeed
