Hi all, I heard that the Walmart e-commerce teams are great. I would like to know more and join the team as product manager. Please let me know if anyone here is from the Customer Product Team. #pm #product #productmanager Any insights are appreciated!
A friend of mine left Walmart last year. Tribal Indian politics is what he called it. I interviewed with them back in 2015 and that team came in through an acquisition. Standard questions. Pretty much how you would improve a product, how you would design a clock for the blind.
Ehh, it's probably a mixed bag to be honest. Walmart let go of a lot of their product team.
Generally would not recommend it.

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Where are you based? Bay Area or Bangalore? Which company you are currently in? I would say nothing is great about Walmart as such.. shitty tech, too much work, poor politics, few poorly performing engineers and add to that leadership that’s unsure where ecomm is headed! Walmart ecomm Went through a big lay-off recently if you are not aware.. I myself am looking out..
I'm in the US. I'm working as a research assistant in the university. Looking for a career start in product management.
Even if you are coming out of college, I would not recommend you Walmart ecomm.. just that tech mindset n culture isn’t there!
