Life changing for me. I got lasik. I cried when I woke up, opened my eyes and could actually see things clearly.
The rain was gone?
Worth it. I still have 20/15 vision. My eyes are dry though so I have drops with me at all times. I add them on average 2 times a day with worst case, 6 times a day
Is it worth those dry eyes? Did you have halo vision after surgery?
I didn't have halos but I do have starburst with lights at night (only at a certain distance). It's been getting better with each passing month. Also, my eyes are getting less dry over time too.
The title of your post and the content of your post are asking the opposite question, so I don't know how to answer. I had cataract surgery and am very glad I did.

I wouldn’t have done it without knowing people irl who had it done and going to their exact recommended clinic/surgeon. Absolutely worth it, it’s miraculous waking up with perfect vision and throwing away your glasses, but do tons of research, it’s your eyesight. The procedure is largely automated by computers and takes about 15 minutes but I’m sure a poor surgeon can still fuck it up somehow. I picked lasik because they’ve been doing it for 30yrs and the risks are well known. SMILE was still considered experimental when I had mine done and was not recommended. Unforeseen effects, it hasn’t stayed as razor sharp as it was immediately after, but still 100x better than before surgery
Even with skilled surgeon nothing is guaranteed. It's a risk, but a calculated one. Find a surgeon who has done this many times, and find a clinic that has the best tooling/machines.
LASIk - side effect: I do wood working as a hobby and the ability to focus on the individual lines on a tape measure was hard to focus on for a few months after
Did LASIK about 10 years ago. Overall the result is superb and no degradation at all. Only side effect is a little bit uncomfortable at night but no big deal. The operation process was not a good experience though.
Life changing, I got ICL
Do you need reading glasses in your 40s after lasik?
Lasik doesn't really prevent that, so yes maybe. Might be after your 40s tho.
I got lasik. Eye dryness is one of the problem. Have to always keep tear drops which is frustrating otherwise it is life changing

You should have asked, LASIK vs SMILE
Can you do both? Figured you have to do one over the other thus how could anyone have an opinion on both.
