Waymo - Google perks
I'm planning to intern at waymo this coming summer. Do waymo interns get google intern perks like discounts on Google hw like Pixel 7 series? I heard from a current Google employee that discount for even their FTEs are minimal and one's better off fishing for deals on best buy or some other place. (I really like the Pixel but I'm still just a student and would appreciate any tips on discounts on it!)

A year or so back, these posts seemed fine. Now with all the layoffs around, it just strikes a bit strange and disconnected.
I'm sorry my question was inconsiderate to the larger economic downturn. I was suggested to ask in blind as people have posted these before, but it was not my intention to come across as insensitive.
Don’t apologize, OP. A perk is a perk, is a perk. @meta this is exactly what corporations want you to feel like.. ie, that they have all the power.
Some perks are less than google, but Waymo FTE gets the same hardware discount on google store. I don't know about interns though, and you can ask others to buy it for you, or buy from google groups where people buy and sell stuff. Also these days Pixel is cheaper outside of Google and you cannot use 2 deals stacked on.
