My wife and I started preparing for the interviews a couple of months back. We aimed to land jobs at the top tier companies. Today the dream has been fulfilled as we both signed the offers for LinkedIn (my wife) and Meta (me). We started with the topic wise revision of DS/Algo to have strong fundamentals. Then we practiced nearly ~250 Leetcode questions. For the design we both have different domains, so we started are own preparations for Android and Software BE design which took nearly a month before giving the interviews. After all the hard work we landed few offers and faced some rejections Offers: Microsoft, Visa, Tesla, Salesforce, Oracle, Meta, LinkedIn, Carvana, Clover, Fubotv Rejects: Snap, DoorDash, TikTok, Uber Today we want to thank the blind community for all the help regarding preparation material and guidance throughout the process. Now we want to give back to the community by helping other engineers going through the same process. We will try to answer as many questions as possible. TC : 180k New TC : 325k Wife’s TC: 200k New TC : 315k Edit: Interview prep design Android ~ https://discord.gg/SuXjNRD8 Gave mock interviews and prepared on this discord channel. BE ~ First 6 Chapters of DDIA, Grokking and youtube videos by CodeKarle The explore section of Leetcode is pretty awesome please do check it out. We use to build concepts by practicing questions under the explore section for a topic that we wanted to have a good understanding Specifically for facebook I did almost each and every question which was asked in past six months. For Facebook i think doing the tagged questions should be enough. Also, while solving a question try to get a sense of the topic and what use case of a particular data structure they want you to test on. There are certain templates in the leetcode discuss section which helps you get a better understanding of the concept such as binary search template. Template for solving dynamic programming questions. With each question we tried to understand what is the one new thing we learned from this question and wrote it down in a notebook which we would go through before the interviews. We used to give mock interviews as well on interview bit which helped us in calming our nerves during an actual interview. Gainlo blogs are also a great source of learning about the most frequently asked questions. #software#interviewprep
How many yoe did you guys have? Also what was the hardest interview
We both have ~4 yoe. I guess the hardest interview was for Uber.
Goals.
Amazing Team Work.
TC and Wife goals 😍🙌 Congrats 👏
Are you remote or on site?
Onsite.
Location? Bay area?
Awesome. Congratulations 🍾
congrats!
Congratulations. Happy to see both of you growing together. My wife and I never worked together like this. There is lots of ego between us and finally decided to divorce. Could you please tell me about your marriage life? Just curious to know what is the age difference between you two? How did you both know each other? How long have you been married?
Thanks, we are about same age.Although married for 2 years but we met in undergrad and dated for near about 7 years
This looks like a quick look into my future. Have been dating my boyfriend since undergrad (almost 7 years now). Hoping to get married in a year or two. We studied together for just like 2 weeks but it was great. We kept each other motivated. Although, after 2 weeks, he got a new job and my H1B got picked, so I decided to stay with same company.
What’s YOE and level? Congrats
E4 at meta & SSE at LinkedIn. YOE~4
SSE is Senior? If so, that’s really great… for her. You only got lowly E4 😝 Seriously though… congrats!
congratz for the teamwork and commitment. Well done!
You have someone so close to walk on this path with you. That in itself is more than any TC increase in the world 👍
