Have had insomnia for 10+ years and Indica + CBD gummies really helped me. To the point where I take one every night. Want to stop taking it but last time I tried, the insomnia was real bad. Anyone gone through this journey and found an approach that worked? (I don’t have significant side effects but yes dreams have stopped and some days feel less energetic. But since there may be unknowns for long term use, do want to stop it.)
Switch to vaping and taper off. Edibles last longer.
and now you have limp dk
Sorry to hear that.
Have you considered if other factors might keep you up? Caffeinated drinks, medications, spouses looking at screens next to you
Like already suggested you could try a vape (ideally a flower vape) at low temps.

I’d recommended melatonin and the fisher Wallace stimulator. The v1 device fits over the (just above) the ears and over 20 mins induces a shift to alpha wave state (the slight tingling and light sensation of flashing lights lets you know it’s working) after that you can re-run the 20 min program to relax further, it’s like a bulldozer that slowly ratchets away worried/racing thoughts and even depressive mood, you end up with a blank state of mind and it really helps getting to sleep particularly after being really wound up (even after arguments/fights). V1 device looks like an ugly-ish white brick, can be found on eBay (out of production) the company is trying to re-release the technology for the information era via an app controlled rechargeable new refresh called OAK (to symbolize the mental stability the device confers i.e. Stable like an oak tree), but… like all good things, it’s not available just yet as Fisher Wallace is jumping through the regulatory hoops necessary for a new device. If you cannot wait, check on eBay for the v1 device “Fisher Wallace stimulator” and there is another one that is more multifaceted (doesn’t just calm down to alpha state but can stimulate a variety of states) called the “NeuroMyst” which is a more advanced device and requires more knowledge and expertise. Think of it like this the Fisher Wallace stimulator is like copilot built into VS code with automatic linting and coding guidance/correction in your favorite language. It’s almost impossible to screw something up if you at least have a slightly above room temperature IQ. The neuromyst on the other hand is like Vim, you can be more tactical and precise and it’s more flexible and can run in a lot of places vscode cannot (in any terminal) but you need to learn about the differences between dc vs ac stimulation, pad placement for different subsystems and basically learn how electrical stimulation of the brain TCS works, it would mean picking up a book off Amazon about the subject and going through the chapters. As you may be able to tell it’s way easier to just get the first device put it above your ears turn it on and chill out. The second device is more of a prosumer or power user tool. The technology is proven, effective, and quite safe. It just requires training and knowledge and not a Dr level of knowledge either, more like “ultrasound technician” level of knowledge, so easily within the reach of a software engineer’s grasp.
Thank you so much. I shall dig into this more.
