Hi Nvidians, Why do nvidia interviewers give false signals or incorrect feedback during the interviews? A month ago, I had a full panel round with an SoC integration team that gave me positive feedback during the interview. But the hiring manager called the following day to just humiliate me by asking some cr@p questions which made no sense and reject me finally. In another case, I had a telephone screening with someone in cuda driver team who said that I did fairly well and another engineer would screen me later. But sent reject email instead. Why this confusion? Why can't they just say 'nothing' instead, and send the decision? #nvidia #interview #semiconductor
I have heard before that work at NVIDIA can be very interesting but also that some teams are extremely toxic. You may have just encountered the latter. Curious to see if there is any perspective from inside on Blind.
Same thing happened with one my friends. Sometimes hiring manager comes in just to reject
Truth be told. I haven't met any exceptionally talented folks working at Nvidia. They just seem normal like any other engineers. Its just a hype waiting to crash soon.
It might not be related to talent, and we cannot generalize. But yes, some of the guys, especially the Nvidia old timers, seem to be high headed.
Also, was that person a senior director at Nvidia?. Because I have also had a bad exp where the interviewer was least interested in the interview, and was constantly busy in his work. On another occasion, the senior director was talking to me while driving and asked me cra@p questions

Why no one cares about the lives lost in Gaza, Israel and busy in their own lives?
Happens, move on.
It also happened to several other friends of mine. So curious why it happens.
Happened with me as well, probably there is a lack of proper interviewing training at NV - now that many others have had similar experience. I thought it was one off experience initially.
