It is becoming more obvious to me that Western economy is going down the hill, as US+Europe is no longer a global superpower, cannot even support/protect its allies in Ukraine, Taiwan (both will likely be lost to enemy countries very soon). Western countries are fed up with liberal policy agenda consequences, illegal immigration without assimilation is one of them. US Dollar is being used less each year within global trade, BRICS countries are close to their goals. Living in US, observing failed society that goes against basic norms and principles, I start to panic as most of my savings are in savings account in US dollar. Illegal immigrants are welcome, no social judgement for being a freak of weirdo pissing/shitting in public place, crimes go up and moral values are at its lowest. I started thinking of reinvesting some portion into something, but I have no confidence in stock market (if WW3 starts, US will not win, in fact, no stock platform will be operable). I wanted to buy gold, but living in rented apartment, I am almost sure if something happens, desperate people will loot my apartment and i cannot protect myself as I live in Cali without gun (I cannot legally get it), while criminals can easily obtain one. What should I do now? Any suggestions of how to secure yourself for the Day Z? I am not trolling and neither I am supporting the agenda of Putin’s interview. I legitimately been coming up with these thoughts for 6+ months. TC: 160k, YOE: <1
Touch grass
Amazon, bezos will not provide you a room in his yacht, so better start thinking early
Go to Texas where you can easily get a gun. You can buy a small farm there and live off of the land. If it turns to the Wild West though it will depend on your marksmanship whether you can fend off anyone attempting to overtake your land.
Good idea. I am not a resident in US though and neither do I know how to run farm. Would much rather stay in tech and reinvest into something that will be a safety boat for me at dark times. I will not be able to buy a gun before I get my citizenship and due to recent agenda, the rules are getting much more complex for those who do not have permit as of now…
Tell your western leaders to stop bombing killing populations like Palestinians and other asian countries. Instead focus on collaborating and partnership with genuine interest for both parties
What other Asian countries is West bombing? US wanted peace, promoting Abraham’s treaty with Israel and Arabic countries. Israel got attacked and they have a right to wipe the threat out of their lands. You only care about Israel bombs cause they reach the target, don’t you know HAMAS and Hezbollah has been sending thousands of missiles down to Israel, but they were captured by Iron Dome? It does not change the fact that they are bombed too.

What should you do? Get out of mom’s basement and stop reading ZeroHedge articles. US hegemony prevails
It does now, but don’t you see the downtrend? US hegemony won’t be a thing in 5-10 years with this pace. All other superpower countries are united against the US: Russia, Iran, UEA, Brazil, North Korea, China. Iranian proxies are spread across the Middle East and US has provided their ammo for them that they left in Afghanistan. Biden is a joker
First, Iran, NK & Brazil are not “superpowers.” Russia is B Tier and China meteoric rise is crashing back down to Earth. The USD’s position as the reserve currency isn’t in any real threat (at least not in our lifetime). The BRICS currency ain’t happening. Cool idea, but completely impractical (same goes for a gold-backed currency; which could result in foreign countries exchanging your currency for your gold reserves). Sorry, but anyone espousing the rise of BRICS and the fall of the US are just engagement harvesting. Our influence is far too pervasive and our currency is far too essential to the function of global commerce
There is definitely a shift, can only say about IT industry Many, many IT jobs moved from US to India, Some to cheaper EU countries, while layoffs in US In India, Even Students from a mediocre colleges are getting IT jobs in big Tech in India People from good colleges in India are moving to their own start ups instead In US, Tech business owners are making huge margins with cheaper labor + no visa sponsorship costs. People spending less in Tech cities in Us because of job insecurities. Obviously cascading effect to small businesses, rentals. Effects US University business, as external students won’t opt for studying in US as there is no chance of repaying the student debt with an India/Prague TC Effects us university towns local businesses and so on
This. US is messing up with legal immigrants, and missing out on so many bring people who are moving to their countries, while opening arms and investing in criminals and cash under table workers who live off EBTs
Move to China
In case of ww3 your net worth would be the last of your concerns. Invest in your health and your education - that’s the best thing you can do for yourself. Learn a foreign language and have a valid passport.
Well, in case of WW3, your networth will be something that will get you an escape ticket or will get your family fed.
Are you serious. Have you seen eastern economies? USA is the only country thriving. All other developed countries are heavily wrecked. US dollar has been the most powerful relatively I’ve ever seen. English is on the headboards and signs of every eastern country worth a damn. I went to Japan and I feel like a god. As a Chinese your stocks and housing prices are simultaneously crashing with no job prospects and the only reason there’s no riots is currency exchange rate manipulation via buying a shiz tonne of usd.
How is it thriving? Inflation and unemployment is fucking people over. Other countries have crazy economic growth, look at Indonesia, China and even RUSSIA (despite being at war). US + EU sanctions ain’t shit no more
Read on global economic trade and why dollar is most powerful? China’s currency is surpassing US dollar soon and US Dollar is losing its monopoly due to BRICS
