I have 4 YOE and over the last 2-3 years I’ve made a slow transition from financial management consulting to software engineering (splitting my time). Now I’m a DevOps engineer at a consulting firm, working daily with Docker, cloud native CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes. I’m also a full stack Python developer with experience in Flask and Django. No React or Angular, just jinja and jquery. I build and sell enterprise SaaS and do some consulting on the side. Between the two jobs I make made about $180k last year. I’d like to switch to FAANG, make even more, working less than 70 hours a week for once 😬 What do you think I can get if I jump? Where should I look? Ty! #compensation #Kubernetes #python #consulting
FAANG will test you on fundamentals (data structures and algorithms) and not the list of technologies you named, so be prepared for that.
Leetcode premium?
🍿🐑 is spot on.
You’re worth whatever you convince your company to pay you.
I was an Econ major, I get that lol. Knowing what to ask for is an important piece of the equation
