I want to hear about companies with best overall compensation (base + bonus + stocks) other than Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix and Google. if your are recommending your company, what is your role/yrs experience/TC?
eBay, intuit, and Dropbox
Intuit, really?
Intuit yes. eBay must’ve not liked you much or you got an offer for a role they didn’t really value
Workday
Naah, declined an offer from them a year ago, due to low pay
They pay shit!
nvidia, cannot beat their stock
But the TC needs to be high (or there needs to be some ESPP), or there's no reason to work there, you can just buy NVDA with your higher TC from other company
Nvidia doesn’t give much stock as part of compensation.
Oracle being very generous for new grad positions
Yeah but then you’re working at Oracle.
I know, but this helps me get an offer from another company one year later, which is significantly higher than (100k more) I originally could have got a year ago
Uber, Airbnb, Dropbox, Lyft
Roku. They pay wayyy too good. Had an offer from them almost 40% above my total comp at Google
Then why you didn't go for it?
Not sure yet about success story
Yelp pays pretty well. They have yearly refreshers. RSUs vest evenly and quarterly (25% each year for 4 years). Got an offer ~230-245 TC w/ 4+ years.
Linkedin is pretty decent without the pressure of being in a FAANG.

One time annual stock vesting is a scam
I heard good things about Cruise in SF.
Do they give paper money or liquid?
They give stock equivalent in cash based on GM’s stock price.
