I have a Chase sapphire reserved card and a delta amex card. I got some great bonus points for both, but interested in knowing some travel hacks. I’ve heard about buying visa cash cards etc but??
Thanks!

The biggest credit card hack i know is that if you have excellent credit, you should have around 7 credit cards for an optimal rating, and each card you have should pay you about $1,000 to sign up and maybe $300+ a year to keep it. For example, the alaska airlines card gives you 60,000 miles to sign up, and while it costs $95 a year to keep, you get a $100 companion fare each year and a free first checked bag. This saves me about $600+ a year. But this is just an example, and i am not trying to promote alaska airlines — choose the cards that give you the most for your preferences and lifestyle.
The Alaskan credit card? Sure. I fly Alaskan about 5 times a year. One of the times, I can bring a companion for $100. Usually it’s for a $700 flight. So right off, I save $500 ($700 normal airfare - $100 for card -$100 for companion). Then with the Alaskan card, everyone in my party gets a free bag. That’s like 14 free bag segments, at like $30 a bag (?), saves me another $420. Plus you accrue miles faster, and get discounts on little things like food on the plane. The biggest benefit of the Alaska card is the $100 ANNUAL roundtrip ticket. Assuming you will take a companion (wife or child) on an expensive flight every year, it saves a lot of money. Plus you should get 60,000+ miles for signing up. It’s a great deal if you fly to their destinations and take a companion at least once. They have a lot of west coast to hawaii flights

How did it save you $600+? Can you explain please?
