What are some good side jobs?
I'm in non-tech working about 5hr week, only to show up in meetings and followup on some mindless tasks. Im wondering what are some good secondary jobs out there to earn some side income? I am fairly simple and dont have any special skills outside my job function, but i do want to earn a bit more in case the economy turns bad. #gig #sidejob Some gigs out i know ppl do are: - day traders - real estate agents - youtubers - uber/lyft/delivery drivers Yoe:10 Tc: 275k

Is 275 really that high tho for SF? After taxes, retirement savings and rent, you’re maybe left with like $2000 a month. Even a side hustle that rakes in $500 dollar would make a difference
what kinda math are you doing where taxes, retirement savings, and taxes takes up over 90% of $275,000? 275,000 - 40% est tax = around 165,000 165,000 - 40k rent = 125,000 125,000 - max contribution to 401k (after tax) = 105,000 that’s $105,000, or $8,750 per month. could put some of it to savings. but you getting to $2k a month like that seems absurd

Day trading is easiest of all. At the same time it’s easy to lose that 275k you make within a few months too. 🤣

If you’re making 275k, that’s $130/hr. So a side gig would need to pay min $50/hr to demand my effort. Which sounds like contract/consulting work
$130/hr is only for 8 hrs a day. I have a other 8hr i dont mind pulling $50/hr, but i just want to know what options are out there

Short term rentals average ~25% CoC conservatively, but are more of an active business. Regular rentals can vary widely based on your strategy used to acquire them (ie BRRRR, turn key, etc.)
