Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
I am recently having lots of thoughts about changing my job. It is not about TC, it is about job satisfaction and motivation. I got fed up of my manager weird attitude and lack of support, I got tired of the office politics, and more recently, I lost the willingness of doing my job. I am working for this team for about three years and I am feeling in the same way that I was before I left my other team. So, to the Blind folks, what are the signals that you get when it is time to move on? TC: 190k 7 yoe (non Bay Area)
hard-work not getting rewarded or the org will have lay-off in the future (within 1-2 year)
I think you reached that point. There could be many signals like job satisfaction, low TC compared to peers, office politics, not being promoted, bad WLB, getting H1B/GC ...
When you’ve stopped learning and are no longer having fun When it’s hard to get out of bed in the morning and you feel energetic when you’re leaving work When you’re one of the senior members of the team but don’t see career advancement in the future When you’re doing more than your fair share and getting nothing back for it It’s time to go 😔😔😰
Not getting support or right feedback from manager is make or break for me. Manager playing favoritism is another. Team mates acting weirdly cold is another factor.
Manager has been playing favorites at my work and it really is demotivating.
When u work at Wayfair Kidding haha Or am I
It’s very simple. When you start asking yourself that question, it’s time to go. Don’t need to rationalize it with explicit reasons. Trust your gut.
You already have all the signals, per your description.
When you want to leave, you should
When I feel I'm not learning much everyday and don't feel work is challenging.
