Israel and Palestine situation is worsening day by day, Iran has attacked Pakistan who is a US Ally. The Yemen thing along with the Russia Ukraine and China Taiwan situation is surely going to escalate and gradually all countries will be involved and forced to pick sides. Only a matter of time until a US city is attacked via terrorism or at sea for the markets to collapse. I am living frugally, been maxing out mega backdoor Roth and backdoor Roth and 401k till the limit, HSA too and now feel that with war and upcoming inflation I'm screwed. Can't sit on cash as inflation will devalue that. War will cause bank run and stock market collapse and retirement accounts will be wiped out. If I get drafted and killed there was no point of sacrificing and living frugally to max out tax advantaged retirement accounts. What are you guys thinking? Easiest and cheapest would be a 9mm Glock. A suppressed short barrel AR15 would be the best but that’s a very expensive and time consuming endeavor because you’d have to do all the paperwork for the suppressor and register the SBR and wait for the forms to pass
I have ~300k in gold and silver. Will at least be tradable and hold value against a useless fiat paper bill. Edt:coins and bars 100k+ in paper money which I would use first ~15k in Monero mostly, then Ethereum and other similar tokens. But if there is no internet...then what. Move out of a major city if you're seriously worried about it, those will get hit first. Then you'd be out of water and power depending on the size of the boom. Now China has it 15x bigger than US. US has not been chin checked in a while. Americans have the memory of being the superpower, but it is no longer reality
