What background check company does Microsoft use?

Did you get hired in in 2019? I've seen truescreen for some posts and hireright for others
Before I joined msft IDC, they had sent email to my company's HR. I have seen that email myself as I happen to work in startup and HR was friend. They ask simple questions like joining date end date etc. So background check is real at msft. It's 2 year old thing, not sure what's now.

Do they ask title as well? I'm worried software developer doesn't nap to software engineer and that could fail the check
Truescreen They will contact your company In my case, they weren’t able to confirm employment with my company. So they asked for my W2 or pay statement.

They now use HireRight. You can click not to contact current employer, and provide pay stubs instead. They even allow you to redact your comp info.
