I will go first: Chase sapphire reserve (bad pick lol) Amex blue cash preferred City double cash back Amazon prime visa rewards Apple card
why do you call chase sapphire reserve as bad pick I have it as well and its a good card to have
It depends on your travel profile essentially.. unless you travel regularly and use ride share a lot, the $550 annual fee is not worth it. If I may ask, what % of expenses on that card are you making back after subtracting annual fee?
Got rid of all my CCs last year. They just use the data from your spending to figure out how to sell you more stuff. Went to privacy.com, and now only have a CC for absolute emergencies where I can't use privacy.com virtual CCs. Sure, I miss out on miles, and other CC benefits. But I like having the info on what I buy to the smallest window possible. I get 1% cashback from privacy, and way more control over how merchants can charge me. I have a dedicated checking account where my privacy.com charges debit from. Just run into the per-day max sometimes.
How would you keep up your credit score though?
Good point- but I have a few mortgages that I've never been late for, so I do have existing credit. If I were young and needed to establish credit, I'd have a CC purely to establish. But I have no need for credit at this point in my life, so going after privacy, not goosing my already high credit score.

Nice.. what % of your spend do you earn in cash back every year?
Haven't tracked it. But, I believe it should be around 3-4% since fidelity at 2% is my go-to card for most shopping! Others are used when their 5% quarter makes sense to me!
