Total compensation-wise they are not the best, one of which is even mediocre. Compensation per hour-wise three of them are terrible. Stock appreciation-wise one of them didn't even beat tech industry average (NASDAQ-100) in the past 4 years. One of them won't let you in if you have leetcode skills only. Four of them don't have a high hiring bar, one of which has a very low hiring bar. The only explanation is that we are talking about the 5 largest companies in terms of market-cap -- someone must have mistyped M with an N. What's the best explanation? (PS: No I'm not referring to Amazon with any malicious purpose. Amazon is a great company with a lot of high-quality bananas. We code monkeys crave for them.)
It is just a term coined by Jim Cramer
The best explanation: TC or GTFO
PR That’s it. They market themselves to the community selling “pride of working at FAANG” BS and a lot of stupid folks drink that cool aid.
i had a small dong, but after i started working at FAANG it grew in size (both length and girth). true story.
Cannot confirm, it got smaller for me :(
Is that how you are convincing yourself to stay at IBM?
Lol. I pity people who actually think like this
I’m curious which companies were being referred to, e.g. mediocre pay, high/low hiring bar, leetcode skills, stock performance (this should be FB).
do you guys have B A N A N A?
Work at a FAANMG, it acts like an additional qualification when recruiters try to poach you. You may be able to skip most phone interviews and directly start with on-site
If you are an intelligent smart person you work at FAANG. If you are not as evolved or have inferior qualities you don’t work for FAANG
Looks like the marketing works on gullible minds like you.
Dell's sarcasm so strong, it is going over a bunch of people
