Do you work on the Servers/Company Infrastructure?
We have our own OS (POSIX based) for one of our server lines. The whole stack is proprietary. It's quite old now but the improvements and optimizations does not seem to end ever. Lots to do.
Thanks for sharing. Are kernel engineers also asked to do Leetcode questions during interviews?
Half the time, just trying to keep up with upstream freebsd and integrate our diffs, the other half, fix upstream bugs and shoe horning their diffs into our unique vm/scheduler requirements (Uma, ule, mlx .. if you fancy any of those were probably hiring)
Yes. Custom OSes(kernels), tweak OSes, write tools to monitor and benchmark os performance, bunch of stuff to workaround bugs, etc.. to name a few
Pretty cool thanks for sharing 👍👍
how is the wlb?
