Twitter cut 80%?? of its engineering team and seems to still be working? Why do companies hire so many software engineers? The job seems like you only work a few hours a day to work on trivial features that add very little value to the business.
Once u have a job as software engineer, you will know what we do then. Goodluck
I guess if you can’t state it, that’s why I’m questioning it 😂
Nice one u made me smile, trolls!
In most big companies the product is already built. So I also don’t get it why they have sooo many people.
Companies fill for tax benefits 😅
Honestly a lot of polishing, fixing, unnecessary post-launch tasks. So yes you can survive without 80%. Twitter may have some hiccups afterwards though.
They do leetcode
Leetcode is the most certain way to kill innovation
They tell PMs and leaders that initiatives will take 3 months then they chill u til the week before the deadline
It's literally in the name - they engineer software products and make sure that they keep running properly.
But do they?
Since Twitter is so shitty nowadays, you could probably infer what we do
This question really hurt me after working 14 hour per day most of the time. If you are in big company then you are expected to work 4-5 hours only in most of teams except few. But if you are in mid size (400 1000) company then most of teams are working hard except few. If you are in startup of less then 50-100 then you have to work else fired next day.
Didn’t you choose to work 14 hours a day?
No i didn't choose , i was forced , currently stuck in bad job
They rest & vest
