So I was recently recommended to do informational interviews. Tried contacting few 2nd and 3rd degree Hiring Managers for informational interviews but no reply yet. Is worth the time in Bay Area? Or is this strategy more suited for entry level jobs. I am mostly looking for Data Scientists or Machine Learning Engineer role.
Sorry for being ignorant. What's informational interviews? Do you mean knowledge question?
It mostly aims to know more about a role that you are interested in from an employer you have shortlisted. If you think that the role and the company is fit for you. It's a more personal way and first to get you an interview. It's time consuming for some folks.
