Do you write a few paragraphs as to why a candidate should be hired or not hired? How long is it usually? Is there a true or false: Hire or No Hire rating? Or more of a spectrum like weak or strong hire? Are there standard questions that you must fill out about a candidate’s performance? Did they solve the problem? Any red flags? Is this feedback usually done within 24-48 hours? Or sometimes you can take a bit longer? Do you have to list the questions you asked the candidate or the questions the candidate asked you?
Why would I put effort and potentially incriminating statements in why I wouldn't hire someone? There is often a bank of questions in certain focus areas you choose from Feedback never
Amazon’s is pretty wide ranging for actual feedback. Seen people put only a few sentences in, others put paragraphs. Usually just a high-level summary of how the candidate performed during your interview Most of it is just data. The tool has you input all the questions you asked and answers/code. Then you click some thumbs up/down buttons to indicate your decision (Strong No Hire, No Hire, Mixed, Hire, Strong Hire) Feedback has to be in before the debrief. They’ll ping you constantly if you’re running behind because the Bar Raiser needs time to read through it all and form a cohesive idea about the direction they want to push discussion in. Especially if decisions are mixed across the interviewers All of it gets discussed in the debrief. Bar Raiser and HM get final say and can override any of the other interviewers Behavioral questions come from a bank. Coding questions are up to the interviewer but must be approved by the BR before the loop
Only a few sentences. There is only Hire or No Hire. There are standard assessment categories Our recruiters harass me to get feedback in asap so it’s fresh We don’t have to list the questions HTH
