Asking as I have tried several flavors and almost none of it so far feels worth chasing. The ones that do don't pay bills. Such is the paradox of life Useless ones so far: Building complex systems in tech Building/leading revenue increasing initiatives. Making cringey useless posts on Social Media. Useful ones but can't do full-time yet: Making people nearby you happy With some form of volunteering Running my own business (this one is just in my head so far). Advising friends/people and guiding them to do things better. Contributing to open source. Post what you think is impactful or not for you and within capacity of doing TC: 270k
Lol. We all want to sit in arm chair and give advice from a high horse to people that gives us 0 blowbacks. (Advising friends/people and guiding them to do things better)
Yeah what can I say, it does feel good when it works out
What's the scope?
How many lives have you made better is the only impact worth chasing
Try donating couple hundred grand to non profit to charity. The good feeling last about a week a most. Happiness is found within, not from external source unfortunately
It’s all the same. 1s and 0s flipping on and off in subterranean datacenters, fed by a forest of copper. There is no “impact”. Only data.
